THIRD ANNUAL SOUNDS OF CENTERRA KICKS OFF AT CHAPUNGU SCULPTURE PARK


LOVELAND, CO. — JULY 8, 2010— Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and set up a comfortable spot in the great lawn underneath the stars at the third annual Sounds of Centerra this summer starting Friday, July 16 through Friday, August 20.

This year’s line-up includes a wide assortment of genres from local/regional musicians. The performances vary from traditional melodies to world music to contemporary bands, offering something for everyone.

The concerts will be held from 7-9 p.m. at Chapungu Sculpture Park, located just east of the Promenade Shops at Centerra and are free to the public.

The bands performing this year are:

July 16: Kenny Cordova & The Olde Rock Band - Rock / presented by: Stonebridge Co.
July 23: Soul School - Funk / presented by: DaVinci Signs
July 30: The Loose Nuts - Country/Americana
August 6: Kutandara – (African/World Music)
August 13: Modern Rhythm Project – Blues/Jazz / presented by: Medical Center of the Rockies
August 20: The Modniks – 60s Rock / food sponsor: All Occasions Catering

To quench your thirst, beer, water and soda will be available for sale as well as snacks and novelties. Proceeds from beverage sales will benefit Thompson Valley High School Band Boosters.
